The inaugural Douglas Park Sporting Dinner was held on Friday evening and a most receptive audience was entertained by two outstanding speakers, club member Allan Snedden and the peerless Willie Young.

Lisa and the catering team once again came up trumps with an excellent 5-course meal enjoyed by all.

The bottle raffle was enhanced by the great generosity of a member – who wishes to remain anonymous – and their contribution of a very special bottle of malt. This was equalled by the generosity of those present  and resulted in an astonishing £495 being raised for the Douglas Park Children’s Christmas Party Fund, which helps to ensure that this wonderful club tradition endures.

Robert Burns was the very lucky recipient of the Highland Park Fire Edition 15 year-old malt and he is shown with his very special prize.
