Immediate Past Captain Ian Letford, and the Committee, would like to extend an invitation to all members to join them on Saturday 20^th April 2013 for the Past Captain’s Day. This involves a Captain’s versus Past Captain’s Golf Match, followed by dinner.

 The golf match is played in four balls, with teams and times arranged by the Match Secretary. Tee is reserved from 12.00 noon to 2.30pm on the day. This is a fun day of golf, with the result taken very seriously only by the two Captains !

 The dinner is 7.00pm for 7.30pm and our guest speaker this year is Stewart Smith, after-dinner speaker and member of Hamilton Golf Club, who will propose the toast to the game of golf, and Past Captain Douglas Samson will propose the toast to the Club. The cost of the dinner is £25.

 Members can chose to attend one or both events, although it is hoped that those golfing will stay on to enjoy a sociable evening and dinner in the clubhouse.

 The Teams and start times will be posted in the Match Office window and on the Club website by Saturday 13^th April.

 Please add your name to the sheet in the main Lounge and, if relevant, leave your payment of £25, by cash or cheque to Douglas Park Golf Club, at the bar or the office for the Secretary. Payment can also be made using your Bar Loyalty Card.
