Amalgamation Update
5th June 2013Way Ahead Charity
9th June 2013
“Wednesday the 5th June started badly when Martin Bell , a key player in the Donald Cameron team, was involved in a serious motor accident resulting in his car being written off and Martin suffering a severe injury to his arm and wrist. All the team players have passed on their best wishhes to Martin with the hope that he will make a speedy recovery.
Michael Giovannetti filled in at the last minute and went on to record the only win in our match V Glasgow at Killermont. The team lost the match 6 to 2.This appears to be a heavy defeat but in fact the team could have been celebrating a 4 all draw. Both Angus Watson & Craig Young were leading their opponents playing the 16th but had to finally accept halved matches.Angus Carrick came close to claiming the scalp of former Scottish internationalist,Jonathan King.Angus was in the lead for most of the match but eventually lost at the 18th. The team’s next match is at home next week to Sandyhills who won the league in 2012. Hugh MacIntyre Team Manager”
