Members may have noticed that a number of the older wooden benches have been removed from the course.  These benches are in a poor condition partly due to the unsuitable use of paint as a surface finish.  The wood naturally cracks with age and weathering which leads to paint peeling and flaking off.  

The benches are in need of reinvigoration and are being stripped of the old paint and treated with oil, so will now have a natural wood finish.  The benches will be returned to the course on completion.
