The Donald Cameron League team played their first match of the 2016 campaign at home against Hilton Park GC.

On a bright and breezy evening Alistair Thomson,our current Club Champion, gave the team their perfect start recording a 5&4 win.

Craig Young had a harder task but came good with a 2&1 win.

Chris McManus also won 2&1 followed by a 3&2 win for Angus Carrick.The highlight of the round for Angus was his driving of the 14th hole (certainly down wind) followed by a single putt thus recording an Eagle 2.

Matthew Anderson was in excellent form recording a 7&6 win the highlight being on the 10th hole in two shots and only 6 feet from the hole,Sad to record Matthew missed the putt .However the birdie 4 won him the hole.

Our Team Selector , Angus Watson , played the first nine indifferently but was in great form on the back nine recording 3 birdies on his way to a 4&3 win.

Adam McLeod showed no mercy to his opponent when winning by the margin 7&6 and Stephen Wightman completed the white-wash with a 2&1 win.

Next week , the 18th May , the team are away to Dullatur which will be a much tougher test. However we have a very strong squad and could register an away win.”
