The first match of the Golf Sixes League took place on Sunday with 2 teams from Douglas Park and I team from Helensburgh.  The Golf Foundation initiative supported by Scottish Golf is encouraging junior golfers from the coaching environment onto the course by setting up a small 6 hole course and playing in a 2 person Texas Scramble.

Around 18 youngsters played and along with parents and helpers thoroughly enjoyed their day with some refreshments in the lounge afterwards.

The Helensburgh team were the winners on the day and the Douglas Park teams are looking forward to the next match to be held in August , down at Helensburgh.
