A hugely successful Bridge Drive was enjoyed by 88 players this afternoon. The overall winner was Iain Lockhart with a fantastic score of 3700 points. Second prize went to Helen Faulds, and the slam prize, which was achieved in the opening games, was won by Katie McAuley and Anne Reid.
Many thanks to Lisa and her staff, and to the Ladies’ committee for their delicious baking and help throughout the afternoon. Also thanks to Joan Gemmell for once again taking on the role of Tournament Director.
The Raffle raised £528 and was in aid of a special project of Deaf Blind Scotland. The proceeds today will go towards providing Guide Communicators for the deaf blind community to visit and take advantage of all the facilities set up for their use in the new Field of Dreams Building, a state of the art centre for the Deaf Blind community which opens in June this year.
Thanks to all the players and members who so generously bought tickets or gave donations and to all the club members for their contributions to the Bottle Stall. Finally thanks to all the ladies and gentlemen who came to play for making this occasion such a success.
