Following their promotion to Division One the Donald Cameron team played their first 2022 league match away to Lenzie.

On a blustery cool evening Angus Watson & Alastair Thomson both lost narrowly 1down and 2&1 respectively.

Team selector, Matthew Anderson, secured a half point before Stephen Wightman won convincingly 5&4..

Michael Giovannetti lost by that same margin. Jonathon Irving registered a fine 3&2 win followed by Adam MacLeod who won 1 Up.

Those results left the teams tied at 3.5 matches each.

Unfortunately for Douglas Park Mark Hughes, who had had to wait for an hour before his opponent appeared, lost his match3&2 which resulted in Lenzie winning overall 4.5 to 3.5.

The team are next at home to Sandhills on the 8th June followed by an away match to the Glasgow GC on Thursday 9th June.
