“The DP Donald Cameron League team travelled the short distance to the Glasgow Club to play their fourth match in the 2017 campaign.
Glasgow , who pick their players from both Killie and Gailes , proved to be a very strong team and ran out winners by the tight margin 5 matches to 3 .
Ally Thomson lost 3&2 to Jonathon King followed by an excellent win 2 & 1 by Clark Nelson over Neil McRae.
This promising result was , unfortunately followed by three losses involving Adam MacLeod,Craig Young and Angus Carrick.
Our match result was then improved by first Matthew Anderson , continuing his excellent form , winning 2 & 1 followed by Stephen Wightman winning 3 & 2.
At this stage we hoped to snatch an away draw but such hopes were dashed when Andy Abercrombie lost by one hole .
On Wednesday 28th June the team are at home to Sandyhills and will welcome back Angus Watson who missed the Glasgow match opening his new restaurant , Monty’s ,in the Finnieston area.
