This winter gents match will introduce some winter medals for members.These will be played as non ballot from yellow tees with mats but will be qualifiers.The sgu encourages clubs with good winter conditions to play qualifying medals through the winter.The use of mats shall be obligatory and  used with same rules as preferred lies ,ie on closely mown areas only.The dates shall be 16th sat november and 30th nov sat.Match would encourage members to still play in there own imformal comps whilst playing medal.The medals will be stableford and cards should be put through touchscreen as normal.In the event of adverse weather or winter course in play then this will become non qualifier and will become informal sweep which Robert intends to run every Saturday for those interested in some form of competitive golf throughout winter.
