Douglas Park’s JJ McCarry Team had their first game of the season against
Hayston at Home.
The team got off to the best start possible and are off and running to
winning ways.
Ross Cameron won 8 and 7. He looked back to his best and his opponent had
no answer to his steady game.
Yusif Sidiki unfortunately didn’t have the best day. He put it down to
exam stress so we can give him a break. He lost 5 and4.
James Haughey had a tough game but true to his word on the 9th he came
through with a 2 and 1 win.
Kerr McMillian played some cracking individual shots and came out on
top 8 and 7. Very impressive.
Robbie Trainer was out last and played an inexperienced Junior and
despatched him 7 and 6.
Unfortunately David McColl did not have a match due to Hayston not
being able to field a full team. However he took a card and recorded
an 88 to make buffer.
A good start to the season considering all the boys have exams just
now an are quite rightly preoccupied with their studies.
Next week we travel to Glasgow which will be a complete different
kettle of fish! We look to emulate the Marley who had a cracking win a
couple weeks back.
