Root Zone Material for this project will not be available until the end of October, consequently the timescale for the lifting of the 12th green turf will be delayed until mid to late November.

As a result of constant monitoring of this new hole (which has been in play since March 2012) we are pleased to report that ground conditions are now favourable to permit the cutting and  lifting of the putting green turf to enable a regrading of the sub-surface which will rectify the severe settlement to the left and right of this new green.

At the same time, we will take the opportunity to introduce soil to the left hand side of the green, to raise the surface almost to green level and which will also remove the left hand bunker.  (Comments please – below)

This means that the 12th green will likely be out of commission until next season (we will post updates regularly as this work proceeds) however when it returns to service it should be a much fairer surface to land on and not have an over difficult shot onto the putting surface if you are short left or pin-high left as at present.
