The Gents V Junior Boys match was played in a 4×4-ball format and resulted in an excellent win for the Junior Boys by the tight margin 2.5 to 1.5.

Angus Watson & Stephen Wightman led out for the Gents and were undone by the younger brother of Angus,Finlay Watson partnered by Ross McMillan by the margin 2&1.

David Wightman & James Ewart were dormie 2 up on Ross Cameron & Michael Rankine but were hit with birdies at the last two holes to allow the Boys to salvage a halved match.

Al Thomson & David McGeachie proved too strong a combination and won 2&1 over Jamie Middleton & Lewis McGlade.

In the final, all important tie, the Sidiki brothers, Adam & Yusef, won 2&1 over Adam McLeod & Matthew Anderson. The match finished at the 17th when, with Adam lying only 4 ft from the pin, Yusef sank a 20ft pitch from above the green to ensure victory for the brothers and for the Junior Boys team.

Both the Junior Boys and the Gents teams have two away matches at Sandyhills & Windyhills to complete their league fixtures and we wish them all good wishes for successful outcomes.
